Jade v Shilpa - Is bullying behaviour happening in your workplace?

The high profile clash between Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother raised eyebrows and caused controversy far beyond our shores.

The programme received in excess of 40,000 complaints from members of the public, Carphone Warehouse pulled the plug on its £3 million sponsorship deal with the programme and a Channel 4 Executive branded the race row as good for ratings. The furore also made it to Prime Ministers Questions.

In a recent survey by Manchester School of Management (UMIST) it was estimated that 18.9 million working days are lost each year as a direct result of workplace bullying and almost half of all employers do not have a policy to deal with this.

Scene Change was recently engaged by a central government department to raise awareness about workplace bullying through a forum theatre event.
