Top Tip for staying motivated and focused whilst working at home

Our brains have a limited attention span so this TOP TIP breaks down large tasks into short intervals called followed by a break. Here’s how it works:

Choose a task and set a timer for 25 minutes. Turn off all distractions and fully focus on the task until the timer goes off. Then take a break for 5 minutes to leave your desk, walk around, stretch, exercise. Set your timer for 25 minutes again followed by another 5 minute break. After 4 cycles take a 20 minute break.

With each small increment of success you get a natural dopamine hit which motivates you to achieve the next reward!
